Next Media’s Digital Communications Pundit, Victoria Atino Mackenzie, has been recognised with the Digital Excellence Award by the Rotary fraternity during the E-KANOS Soirée Night: The Final Toast, held at Hotel Triangle on June 23.
The event, organised by the Rotary E-Club of Kampala North, celebrated outstanding contributions, achievements, and service during the Rotary year 2025/26. It brought together Rotarians, partners, and friends for an evening dedicated to recognising excellence, service, and impact.
Victoria received the award in recognition of her effective use of digital platforms to create meaningful impact, drive engagement, and amplify causes that contribute to community development and positive social change.
In presenting the award, Rotary acknowledged her contribution to digital storytelling, highlighting her role in promoting initiatives, strengthening public engagement, and communicating messages that inspire awareness and action.
At Next Media, Victoria plays a key role within the Current Affairs desk under NBS. Her work focuses on translating complex news and current affairs content into clear, engaging, and audience-focused stories tailored for digital platforms.
Working alongside the multimedia team led by Head of Multimedia, Dorah Atwongyeire, Victoria contributes to ensuring that current affairs content reaches audiences in formats that encourage engagement, understanding, and informed public discourse.
Her role extends beyond content publishing. Through digital analysis, content curation, and strategic storytelling, she helps strengthen the visibility and reach of factual, credible, and impactful journalism across our digital ecosystem.
This recognition comes at a time when digital communication continues to play an increasingly important role in how organisations engage audiences, build communities, and extend the reach of their work. Across sectors, digital platforms have become essential tools for connecting people, sharing stories, and driving meaningful conversations.
For Victoria, the award serves as a recognition of the growing influence of digital communicators in shaping narratives, informing audiences, and amplifying initiatives that create positive impact.
The E-KANOS Soirée Night marked the close of a Rotary year characterised by service, recognition, and leadership, celebrating individuals whose contributions have strengthened communities and advanced Rotary’s mission of service above self.
We congratulate Victoria on this well-deserved recognition and celebrate her continued contribution to impactful digital storytelling.
