This Friday, 1st October 2021, the Transformers will dust off their traditional attires, wear them to work in representation of their respective Ugandan heritages as the Next Media Talks, also serving as the launch to our “Uganda Month” celebrations, make a return in as far as physical attendance goes.
The Next Media Talks, our monthly staff meeting, have been entirely virtual over the last few months due to the 2nd wave of COVID-19 but will now have a blend of both physical presence and the virtual element in consideration of numbers.
“The beauty in being Ugandan starts at recognizing and accepting our cultural diversity, then respecting and celebrating it – this is the idea behind putting together a whole month of doing just that in Uganda Month,” said Desire Derekford Mugumisa, the Head of Brand and Communications at Next Media Services.
Mugumisa added, “The ability to now blend in a physical presence following our vaccination efforts is exciting as events such as these have proven to be great platforms to steam off from the impact of the fast-paced environment we run here. Then the heritage aspect excites us even more.”
From Pop Quizzes to Predict and Win, the staff will participate in various fun activities ahead of the launch, after which programming and more will be themed ‘Uganda.’
