MTN Uganda in partnership with Next Radio, the first audio-visual radio station in Uganda under Next Media Services, unveiled a digital station targeting the youth dubbed Pulse Radio. Pulse Radio is a youthful and funky, fully online radio station, that aims to provide the youth with insightful entertainment and information that is tailor-made for them.
Launched under MTN’s youth segment known as MTN Pulse, Pulse Radio will uphold the MTN Pulse values of fun, excitement, attitude, and ambition by providing entertainment and information to spur the country’s youth to the realization of their full potential. The new funky and youthful online radio station is another of the many niche products and services Next Radio unveils to its audiences.
“I’m so proud of Next Radio for finally launching Pulse Radio. Conversations to have it started way back in 2019, and we are finally here. To say that this has been hard and rewarding would be an understatement.” Marcus Kwikiriza, General Manager Next Radio.
For the past three years, Next Radio has represented the trend of your modern-day radio listener. The urban youth, among its most dominant patrons, had reportedly moved away from the times when radio was all about listening to a voice that created a high sense of imagination. This monotony was later addressed through the audio and visual art of Next Radio.
Making visual easy, clients do not need to download any app to access the MTN Pulse radio, but rather use of any internet-enabled device can access the radio with a browser via the link pulse radio.mtn.co.ug, which is both visual and audio enabling pulsers to listen or watch depending on their vibe. Further, they can also engage with their friends as they listen to their favourite programs or presenters via the live chat section in real-time.
