After four years of service at Next Media Services, we said goodbye to Marcus Kwikiriza on Thursday, March 31, 2022, in an event attended by our Top Management Team and the Senior Management Team members he directly worked with.
Marcus came out of retirement in 2018 to head our execution of starting Uganda’s first audio-visual radio station, with which he has done a tremendous job. On top of the station’s management, Marcus also got involved in the day-to-day deliverables on the station, hosting the “Morning Zoo,” our then breakfast show on the radio station.
Under his leadership, Next Radio achieved so much, including but not limited to the station being ranked the fastest-growing English-speaking radio station, having fast-risen to Number 3 among English radio stations. We also saw Next Radio become a channel on DSTV (Channel 898) and the scoring a partnership with MTN Uganda, where the telecom company’s “Pulse Radio” is powered by Next Radio!
Marcus Kwikiriza also served Next Media Services as our Head of Strategic Business. He saw us execute some of our biggest projects yet, for example, the UG Hope Concerts, Spotlight UG, PANYC 2020 and 2021, and e-Conferences, among so many others.

Here is to wishing Marcus Kwikiriza the very best on the new journey he has embarked on to concentrate on his business and other ventures. Next Media Services will always be home to you, Marcus.
