It was joy, cheer and excitement as Next Media relaunched Sanyuka TV with a brand promise to be Uganda’s leading entertainment station, satisfying viewers aged between 18 and 35. Sanyuka TV viewers can now enjoy all their favourite local content, this time even further improved, all on one channel 24/7.
During the launch, Sanyuka TV General Manager Ramathan Mbago spoke on the station’s journey so far, also highlighting what is expected ahead, “there has been careful preparation behind what we are unveiling today; this process has been informed by market research, input from industry leaders and our audiences and we believe we have put together a line-up of talent and shows that’s going to bring ‘essanyu’ to many Ugandans.
The biggest change to Sanyuka TV is that it is now all about Ugandan entertainment, unlike before, when it also carried sports as part of its programming. The station has assembled a great team of talented individuals and developed shows that will turn Sanyuka TV into the leading Ugandan entertainment channel in a few months.
“Sanyuka TV’s offering to the market is the best; the most authentic Ugandan content delivered by the best of Uganda’s talent across all our different shows.” Nicholas Ngobi, Brand Manager Sanyuka TV.
He added that Sanyuka TV would strive to bring happiness to Ugandans through the programming and talent, “expect happiness, entertainment and good vibes content. We’re here to make people happy whenever they switch on the station.
The Ugandan media industry’s top entertainers, such as Precious Remmie, aka Ray P, Kalela, Ann Taylor and Sophie Love, are some of the big names that have joined the station.
Sanyuka is now available on multiple platforms, including DStv, GOtv, Zuku TV, and StarTimes, Free-To-Air and streams online via Afro Mobile to enable as many Ugandans as possible to watch from wherever in the world they may be.
