Miss Planet International contestants wowed by the Next Media Park.

The #NextMediaPark, on 7th November, hosted the 2022 Miss Planet International participants and delegates from various countries.

The visit was characterized by a #NextMediaTours experience for the beauty queens, a deeper understanding of all Next Media brands and Ugandan media. Uganda is the official host for Miss Planet International, an event from November 6th- 20th, 2022. This is the first time a mega international beauty pageant is hosted in the Pearl of Africa and will be watched by millions worldwide.

 

Speaking at the gathering, Next Media Deputy Group CEO Joseph Kigozi thanked the pageant organisers for choosing to partner with Next Media and assured them of eyeballs during the contest. “Pageantry calls for action against the things we believe in as a society, and as Next Media, ours is to make sure we expand your vision to the world.

Joe Kigozi added, “Next Media is proud to support this initiative because it fulfils the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to Save our Planet and Save Humanity, a trajectory Next Media’s story subscribes to.”

Founded in 2017 by Pedro Francisco and Halley Amin in Cambodia, the pageant is anchored under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Agenda, and over 80 candidates from all over the world will compete to become Miss Planet International 2022 at the grand finale to be held at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kampala, Uganda.

Next Media Head of Corporate Affairs, Desire Derekford Mugumisa, spoke to us on the various ways through which the media conglomerate works towards achieving the SDGs
