NBS Sport kicks off 2022/23 Nile Special Uganda Rugby Premier League Coverage

The Nile Special Rugby Premier League kicked off last weekend with games being hosted on different rugby grounds across Uganda.

Prior to the games, NBS Sport also launched a rugby show, ‘THE TRY LINE,’ hosted by Desire Derekford Mugumisa, focusing on the ins and outs of the game of rugby, with a focus both on the teams and fans involved in the game.

Following the announcement of the partnership signed between Next Media and the Uganda Rugby Union, NBS Sport aired live its first game of the Uganda Rugby Premier League on Saturday afternoon where the Pirates defeated defending champions and title favourites, Heathens 24-18 at the Kings Park Arena – Bweyogerere in a nail-biting game that saw players like Alex Aturinda standing out.

Prior to this, NBS Sport had covered select fixtures in the 2021/22 Rugby 7s and 2022/23 Uganda Cup.

Here are the results from all the games over the weekend
