The second round of the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season, themed “The Race Is On,” kicks off on Thursday, February 9th, 2023, with a match between Wakiso Giants and KCCA FC at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Sports Stadium in Wakiso.
At the official Sanyuka Prime launch of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League second round coverage, the Vice President-Marketing of StarTimes Uganda, Aldrine Nsubuga, stated that the first round was highly competitive and that the second round is expected to be even more thrilling.
“The first round of the current season was highly competitive, making it difficult to predict who could win the league this year. The second round promises to be even more tense and exciting,” said Nsubuga.
Desire Derekford Mugumisa, Head of Corporate Affairs at Next Media, acknowledged Sanyuka Prime’s significant role in growing the sport and expressed gratitude towards StarTimes for enabling the league’s development through Sanyuka Prime.
“Adequate television coverage is crucial for the growth of the game.
