Salam Charity Foundation kicked off February by making a big difference in the community. On February 10th, 2023, the foundation visited the Bunyoro region and implemented a goat stocking project to benefit the local imams.
The project aims to improve the household incomes of the local leaders, who received five goats each. program.
These goats will be returned at a given time and given to another person rotationally, ensuring the continuity and sustainability of the program. The team also participated in cleaning the city under the Taasa Obutonde campaign. They focused on cleaning up the town and creating awareness of the importance of keeping the environment clean. Several corporate companies, including National Water and Sewerage Co, Uganda Red Cross Society, and Maganjo Millers, also joined the campaign to increase awareness.
To cap off their community efforts, Salam Charity Foundation donated a consignment of wheelchairs to Kiryandongo General Hospital. The hospital, known to host several accident cases due to its location along a busy highway, has been lacking wheelchairs for some time. The hospital welcomed the donation with open arms.
The LC 5 Chairperson expressed gratitude for the donation, praising Salam Charity Foundation for their generosity and compassion. The hospital staff was also grateful, acknowledging the significant impact the new wheelchairs would have on the lives of their patients.
