NBS TV has launched the 6th Edition of its signature Housing Baraza, themed “A Home for Everyone,” addressing Uganda’s housing crisis with a call for practical, affordable, and sustainable solutions. This event, held in partnership with Housing Finance Bank, Plascon, Soliton Telmec, National Housing, and Roofings, aims to tackle urgent issues such as population growth, urbanization, and land affordability that will happen from 26th to 28th November.
Deputy Group CEO of Next Media, Joe Kigozi, commended the long-standing partnerships that make the Baraza possible:
“To all our partners who believe in this idea, we thank you. Affordable housing is not just a conversation; it’s a necessity. This year, we are bringing together the entire ecosystem to make it a reality for Ugandans.”
This year’s edition stands out for its emphasis on eco-friendly practices and housing innovations, with key industry stakeholders advocating for sustainable solutions.
Soliton Telmec’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mrs. Irene Ssebuliba, shared the company’s role in the housing ecosystem:“Homes are now built with internet connectivity in mind. At Soliton, we focus on sustainable, eco-friendly infrastructure that adds long-term value to homes.”
As Uganda approaches rapid urbanization by 2050, the NBS Housing Baraza serves as a critical platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration to ensure decent, affordable housing for all.
