Next Media Hosts DW’s Head of Distribution Africa to Strengthen Strategic Media Partnership

Today, Next Media was honored to host Sevan Ibrahim-Sauer, Head of Distribution Africa at Deutsche Welle (DW), at the Next Media Park. The visit reaffirmed the strong and growing partnership between DW and Next Media—two organizations aligned by a shared vision of being digital-first, future-facing, and impact-driven.

Accompanied by Abaas Mpindi, CEO of the Media Challenge Initiative, the delegation engaged in robust conversations centered on content innovation, co-creation, and talent development. These discussions underscored our mutual interest in deepening collaboration across multiple platforms and enhancing the quality of storytelling for African audiences.

Key highlights of the visit included a tour of our facilities and a strategic exchange around the Next Media Content Creator Hub, where both parties explored ways to jointly produce compelling, relevant content that speaks to diverse African narratives.

This partnership with DW continues to evolve through shared trainings, resource exchange, and broadcast collaboration, positioning both organizations to better serve an informed, inspired, and empowered audience.

At Next Media, we value relationships that fuel transformation—and today’s engagement was yet another step toward building a stronger, pan-African media ecosystem.
