Next Media CEO Celebrates Uganda’s Rising Creative Economy

Next Media Group CEO, Kin Kariisa met with leading content creators driving Uganda’s growing creative economy. The discussion highlighted the country’s emergence as a premier destination for high-quality content production—from movies, music, documentaries, and animation to podcasts, e-sports, and immersive media.

Drawing on insights from benchmarking trips over the past few years, the CEO emphasized that Ugandan creators are more than ready to compete on the global stage. To harness this momentum, Next Media is making intentional investments in platforms such as the Next Content Creator Hub and the Next Influencer Program.

These initiatives benefit from 360-degree brand support across Next Media’s ecosystem, including AfroMobile, NBS TV, Sanyuka TV, and more. The goal is to create jobs, nurture culture, increase global visibility, and develop exportable intellectual property that puts Uganda firmly on the international creative map.
