Next Media has successfully concluded Triannual 2, closing yet another phase of its transformative journey with pride and renewed determination. Throughout this period, the dedication and resilience of the Transformers – the people behind the brand – remained at the core of every success. By prioritizing people first and delivery next, we once again demonstrated a winning formula that continues to drive impact year after year.
Triannual 2 has been defined by significant milestones across several fronts. The creative economy agenda took firm shape, with strategies and initiatives converging to create tangible impact, signaling a new chapter for both Next Media and its audiences. The 10-year milestone of Sanyuka Television (#SanyukaAt10) was another highlight, celebrating a decade of authentic Ugandan entertainment and storytelling. In addition, the national campaign “Omumanyi wa Salam” came to life, resonating strongly with audiences across the country.
Sports coverage also reached new heights during this phase, particularly through the world-class broadcast of the Rugby Africa Cup Uganda 2025 (#RACUG25), setting a benchmark for sports broadcasting in the region.
Internally, this triannual offered an opportunity to reflect on organizational progress since the structural realignment. Results from the internal survey revealed growth across multiple areas, providing valuable insights to further strengthen structures, enhance efficiency, and deliver even greater value.
As Triannual 2 concludes, Next Media is now preparing for the Rotary Cancer Run 2025 (#CancerRunUg25), reaffirming our commitment to supporting communities and important causes.
Looking ahead, the focus now shifts to the recently launched #UGVotes2026, a flagship project that will deliver flawless, balanced, and nationwide election coverage through the strength of bureau chiefs and correspondents across Uganda. This initiative reaffirms Next Media’s role as the country’s leading and most trusted source of information.
As the organization advances into the next phase, its guiding principles remain clear: keep inventing, build trust, and consistently challenge convention in pursuit of excellence.
