Next Media Welcomes Hollywood Producers for Strategic Collaboration on Uganda’s Creative Future

Today, the home of storytellers, creators, and innovators, the Next Media Park hosted Hollywood producers Brian Glassford and Derrick Warfel, who are in Uganda to launch the Africa School of Film and Media Arts at Africa Renewal University.

Their visit centered around one key theme, collaboration. Together, we explored how a Ugandan story can meet Hollywood craftsmanship and how Next Media can play a pivotal role in skilling the next generation of creatives.

Uganda’s creative industry is rich with talent, ambition, and cultural depth. What it needs now are opportunities, the kind that equip young storytellers with world-class skills and exposure to global standards of production. Through partnerships like this one, we aim to bridge inspiration with implementation, turning creative potential into high-quality productions that can stand proudly on any global stage.

As Brian and Derrick toured the Next Media Park, from our studios to our digital innovation spaces, the excitement was tangible. Ideas flowed on how our platforms and expertise could collaborate with the Africa School of Film and Media Arts to create mentorship programs, production collaborations, and talent pipelines that place Uganda’s creatives at the heart of Africa’s storytelling revolution.

At Next Media, collaboration is how we transform. It’s how we turn ideas into impact and dreams into stories the world can see. Uganda’s creative industry is ready, and with partnerships like these, the next big story from Africa could be born right here.
