On Saturday, March 27, the Kampala Capital City Authority organised a partners’ appreciation engagement at City Hall, where we were named a Platinum Sponsor of the Kampala City Festival 2025 in recognition of our contribution to amplifying one of the city’s most celebrated events.
The engagement brought together partners from across sectors to reflect on the success of the 2025 edition and to appreciate the collective effort that made the festival’s return possible. It also created space to look ahead and align on what the future holds for the festival.
The Kampala City Festival returned in 2025 after an eight-year break. Its comeback brought together institutions from banking, telecommunications, tourism, manufacturing, and media, all working towards reconnecting the city through culture, creativity, and community.
As Next Media, we played a key role in bringing the festival closer to the people. Through our television platforms, we delivered coverage that captured performances, cultural showcases, and the moments that defined the day. On digital, we extended that reach even further, allowing audiences to follow the experience in real time and engage with it wherever they were.
This approach ensured that the festival was not limited to those present on the streets. It became a shared experience across Kampala and beyond, connecting people through content that reflected the spirit of the city.
This recognition affirms the role of storytelling in shaping how national moments are experienced. It also speaks to the value of using media to connect people to events that celebrate identity, creativity, and progress.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to supporting the next edition of the Kampala City Festival. With plans underway to return the celebration fully to the streets of Kampala in 2026, we look forward to contributing our expertise in broadcasting and digital engagement to make the experience even more impactful.
As Kampala continues to grow as a hub of culture and innovation, we remain focused on telling the stories that bring people together and reflect the heartbeat of the city.
