We have partnered with Abeeka Band as official media partners for Roots & Vibes Live in Kampala, a landmark concert set to take place on May 2, 2026, at the Ndere Cultural Centre.
The partnership was announced during a press conference held on April 27, 2026, at One Hill Drive in Kololo, bringing together the band, partners, and key players in the entertainment space ahead of the highly anticipated show.
As Abeeka Band marks five years of its Roots & Vibes journey, this concert stands as a celebration of consistency, creativity, and a growing influence on Uganda’s live music scene. Known for their fresh weekly performances and strong connection with audiences, the band continues to set the tone for live entertainment experiences.
Through NBS and AfroMobile, we are extending the reach of this experience to audiences across Uganda and beyond. This collaboration reflects our belief in using media to inform, engage, and shape culture through meaningful storytelling and entertainment.
Roots & Vibes Live in Kampala is positioned as a premium live music experience, blending reggae, soca, Afro-roots, and dancehall into a rich Afro-Caribbean showcase. Designed as an intimate yet high-impact concert, the event brings together music, atmosphere, and storytelling to create a distinctive cultural experience in the heart of Kampala.
The concert will feature performances from a strong lineup of Ugandan artistes including Apass, Daggynice, Sheila Salta, DJ Mercy, Jackie Chandiru, Joanita Kawalya, Rachel Magoola, Dax Vibez, Levixone, Ziggy Dee, and Henry Tigan, alongside the signature live band performance by Abeeka Band.
Audiences can expect a fully curated experience, from live instrumentation and seamless DJ transitions to themed stage production inspired by Afro-Caribbean culture, as well as a carefully crafted food and beverage offering. The event builds from relaxed outdoor moments into a high-energy concert atmosphere.
