Thousands of runners filled the streets of Kampala on Sunday, May 17, 2026, for the fourth edition of the Absa KH3–7 Hills Run, turning the city into a powerful display of endurance, community, and purpose in support of girl child education.
Held at the Millennium Grounds in Lugogo under the theme “Run So She Can,” the annual run attracted more than 8,000 participants who took on the 5KM, 10KM, and signature 25KM routes across Kampala’s seven hills. Organized by Absa Bank Uganda together with Kampala Hash House Harriers (KH3), the initiative continues to raise awareness and funds aimed at keeping girls in school through bursaries, menstrual hygiene support, and improved learning environments.
As the official broadcast partner, NBS Sport played a central role in bringing the experience to audiences across Uganda and beyond through live television coverage, digital updates, athlete interviews, route reporting, and post-race analysis.
From the early morning flag-off to the finish line celebrations, NBS Sport teams remained stationed across different race points to capture the energy, determination, and stories behind the run. Coverage extended across television, digital, and social media platforms, ensuring audiences stayed connected to every moment in real time.
The partnership reflects NBS Sport’s continued commitment to championing Ugandan sport and supporting initiatives that create meaningful social impact through sports and community engagement.
Over the years, the Absa KH3–7 Hills Run has grown into one of Uganda’s leading purpose-driven sporting events, impacting thousands of girls across the country while also creating a platform that promotes wellness, resilience, and collective action.
This year’s edition also featured some of the event’s biggest rewards yet, including land titles, cash prizes, and international marathon opportunities for top-performing runners, further elevating the experience and visibility of the run.
Through partnerships like these, NBS Sport continues to strengthen its role in growing local sport, amplifying athlete stories, and connecting audiences to moments that inspire communities across Uganda.
