CALL FOR PROPOSALS – DOWNSTREAM PARTNERS
1. Overview
NextCom is expanding its national Creative Media Skilling & Work Transition Program and inviting organisations to submit proposals to serve as Downstream Partners supporting young women across Uganda.
We are seeking entities that can deliver practical media training, host production practice, and connect learners to real-world opportunities within the communities they serve.
2. What Partners Do
- Deliver hands-on training in media production, graphics, editing, and digital content
- Provide safe, functional production environments such as studios or community media labs
- Facilitate project-based learning and portfolio development
- Support transition into gigs, internships, contracts, and creator-platform opportunities
- Uphold safeguarding standards and structured cohort management
3. Who Can Apply
- Registered Ugandan entities (companies, NGOs, academies, collectives)
- Organisations with experience in media production, creative skilling, or youth-focused programming
- Capacity to host 25–200 learners per cohort
- Demonstrated access to the specific communities you intend to serve
- Access to, or partnerships for, production equipment and training spaces
4. What Partners Receive
- Performance-based funding tied to verified outputs
- Standardised training modules and cohort frameworks
- Integration into the Next Media ecosystem and national visibility
- Continuous program support, monitoring, and coordination

This program opens work pathways for thousands of young women in Uganda’s creative and digital media sector. Downstream Partners play a central role by shaping skills, enabling industry-ready practice, and unlocking opportunities.
