Ismael Ssembatya is an accomplished news professional with over 16 years of experience in broadcasting. As the Head of Editorial Operations and Senior News Anchor, he oversees the day-to-day management of the newsroom, ensuring bulletins are produced on time and adhere to high editorial standards. Ismael is known for his meticulous attention to detail and his ability to lead a team towards delivering accurate and engaging news.
Before his current role, Ismael served as the Deputy News Editor and Sports Editor at Sanyu FM 2000 Ltd, gaining valuable experience that honed his leadership and editorial skills. His career has been marked by significant achievements, including being named Best News Producer of the Year 2021 at Next Media and earning the Best Newcomer Sports Award in 2002. He was also a First Runner-Up for News Anchor of the Year in 2005, a testament to his skill and dedication.
Ismael holds a degree in Mass Communication from Islamic University. He is passionate about teamwork, positive attitudes, and delivering quality work, which drives his professional journey.
