JOB DESCRIPTION:  DIGITAL CONTENT & PLATFORM(S) GROWTH MANAGER

Level: Senior Mid-Level (5–7 Years Experience)

1. Role Purpose

The Digital Content & Platform Growth Manager is responsible for developing, producing, and optimizing high-impact digital content that drives audience growth, engagement, and monetization across Next Media platforms and client brands.

Additionally, they are responsible for planning, executing, optimizing, and reporting on multi-platform paid media campaigns across key digital advertising ecosystems including Google Ads, YouTube Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, X (Twitter) Ads, and other relevant programmatic and social advertising platforms.

The role provides end-to-end leadership in:

  • Digital content strategy
  • Video production and storytelling
  • YouTube channel growth and monetization
  • Digital capacity building and training
  • Platform performance optimization

This position plays a critical role in supporting NextCom’s transition into a Digital-First, Content-Led, Revenue-Generating Media Ecosystem.

2. Key Responsibilities

Digital Content Strategy & Planning

  • Develop digital content strategies aligned with brand, audience, and commercial goals.
  • Identify content opportunities across platforms including YouTube, social media, and digital streaming.
  • Translate marketing objectives into compelling content roadmaps.
  • Ensure content aligns with audience insights and trends.

End-to-End Content Production

  • Lead the full content production cycle including:
    • Concept development
    • Scriptwriting
    • Filming
    • Editing
    • Publishing
  • Produce high-quality digital video content.
  • Oversee technical quality standards for all digital productions.
  • Manage content production timelines and workflows.

YouTube Growth & Monetization Management

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow YouTube channels.
  • Optimize content for discoverability and algorithm performance.
  • Improve subscriber acquisition and watch-time metrics.
  • Support monetization through advertising, sponsorships, and branded content.
  • Manage YouTube analytics and reporting.

Digital Platform Performance Optimization

  • Monitor content performance across platforms.
  • Use data insights to optimize content formats and strategies.
  • Identify growth opportunities through analytics.
  • Improve audience retention and engagement metrics.

Training & Capacity Building

  • Train internal teams on digital content creation best practices.
  • Develop training modules for:
    • Video storytelling
    • Mobile content production
    • Digital editing tools
    • Platform optimization
  • Mentor brand teams to improve content quality.

Ecosystem Content Support

  • Support client brands in developing digital-first content.
  • Provide strategic guidance on digital storytelling.
  • Collaborate with agency teams to deliver branded content.

Innovation & Trend Leadership

  • Monitor emerging digital content trends.
  • Introduce innovative storytelling formats.
  • Pilot new digital content approaches.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with:
    • Digital marketing teams
    • Creative teams
    • Production teams
    • Commercial teams
  • Ensure alignment between content, campaigns, and business goals.

  • Deliver agreed digital content production targets.

YouTube Growth & Monetization – 20%

  • Achieve ≥30% growth in YouTube subscribers.
  • Increase watch-time and retention metrics.
  • Support monetization growth targets.

Digital Platform Performance – 15%

  • Improve engagement rates across digital platforms.
  • Optimize content performance through analytics.

Training & Capacity Building – 15%

  • Conduct regular training sessions for internal teams.
  • Improve digital content capability across departments.

Content Strategy Execution – 15%

  • Successfully implement content strategies aligned with brand goals.
  • Support campaign content needs effectively.

Innovation & Digital Leadership – 10%

  • Introduce new content formats and approaches.

4. Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Media Production
    • Communications
    • Digital Marketing
    • Film or Video Production
    • Marketing

Experience

  • 5–7 years experience in:
    • Digital content production
    • Video production and editing
    • Digital marketing or media environments
    • YouTube content management
