Obadia Ismail Otim is a seasoned legal expert with a strong background in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and media law. As Chief of Legal and Regulatory Compliance and Company Secretary, he oversees legal advisory, court proceedings, governance structures, intellectual property management, policy formulation, and regulatory affairs.
With seven years of experience in the legal industry, Obadia has previously worked with ENS Advocates and SK Kiiza & Co. Advocates before serving as Legal Officer at Next Media. His expertise has earned him numerous accolades, including the Top Oralist Award at the Price Media Competition (Oxford University, UK), the Humanitarian and Activist Award from the U.S. Peace Corps, and the Media Law and Regulation Award from ITP Media in Sweden.
Obadia holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, alongside specialized training in media law and regulatory compliance. Currently pursuing Chartered Secretary certification, he remains committed to upholding the highest standards of legal excellence.
