International dancehall star Spice visited our Next Media Park on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, building momentum ahead of the Safari Beats concert set for Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Known for her commanding stage presence and global influence, her visit brought a wave of excitement across our TV, radio, and digital platforms. She made appearances on #NBSAmasengejjeExtra, Sanyuka TV, and Next Radio, where she engaged audiences in conversation and delivered a brief live performance that offered a preview of what fans can expect at the concert.
As official media partners through Afro Mobile and NBS Television, we are supporting a concert positioned as a cultural and entertainment experience that goes beyond music. It brings together global talent and local energy while contributing to the promotion of Uganda’s tourism and creative industries.
Speaking during a press engagement, Desire Mugumisa, Senior Manager Corporate Affairs at Next Media, highlighted the relevance of dancehall within Uganda’s music space and the broader vision behind the partnership. “Dancehall is very big in Uganda; it is part of what our sound is. There is also the tourism factor. We want to showcase Uganda and what we are about,” she said.
Through Afro Mobile, we are extending the reach of this experience to audiences beyond Uganda, creating a platform that connects global acts with local audiences while amplifying Ugandan creatives. At the same time, NBS leverages its wide reach to bring visibility to the concert, positioning Kampala as a destination capable of hosting high-level live entertainment experiences.
This collaboration reflects how we continue to build platforms that connect culture, creativity, and audiences. Spice’s presence at Next Media Park set the tone for what is expected to be a high-energy showcase this Saturday.
The concert adds to a growing list of experiences that continue to shape Uganda’s entertainment scene and strengthen its place as a meeting point for global and local talent.
