Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia Visits the #NextMediaPark, Shares Entrepreneurship Journey on Radio Walla

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, Ugandan businessman and entrepreneur Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia visited the #NextMediaPark, where he engaged audiences during a live conversation on the Saturday Wala Show hosted on Radio Walla.

Broadcast live from the Content Creator Hub and streamed on AfroMobile, the session gave audiences an opportunity to hear firsthand lessons from one of Uganda’s most influential entrepreneurs as he reflected on business, leadership, mentorship, discipline, philanthropy, and Uganda’s economic future.

During the conversation, Dr. Ruparelia spoke about his entrepreneurial beginnings, revealing that he arrived in Uganda with about $40,000 before starting his first trading businesses in salt and beer. He explained how identifying opportunities in the market helped him grow from small-scale trading into foreign exchange, banking, real estate, hospitality, education, and other sectors.

“My first business was salt and beer. I moved around for about a year before deciding what to do, and from there I kept identifying problems and finding solutions around them,” he shared.

Speaking to young people and aspiring entrepreneurs, Dr. Ruparelia encouraged patience, consistency, and gradual growth instead of rushing success.

“I think one has to learn how to climb step by step. Anybody who graduates must work in an industry for two or three years before venturing into business,” he advised.

Throughout the discussion, he reflected on the evolution of the Ruparelia Group and highlighted job creation as one of the driving forces behind his work.

“My main motive is to create jobs because society needs jobs,” he noted during the interview.

The conversation also explored leadership, mentorship, reinvestment, financial discipline, wellness, faith, and giving back to society. Dr. Ruparelia emphasized the importance of supporting communities and creating opportunities that uplift others.

“Every successful person has the responsibility to give back to society,” he said.

Following the interview, Dr. Ruparelia toured the #NextMediaPark and commended Kin Kariisa and the entire Next Media team for the work being done within Uganda’s media and creative industry.

His visit reflected our continued commitment to creating platforms that inform, inspire, educate, and connect audiences through conversations that contribute to personal and national transformation.
