At Next Media, we have successfully concluded Triannual One (T1) of 2026, closing the first phase of the year with strong momentum under this year’s theme, Execute to Dominate. The period from January to April was defined by fast-paced national moments, impactful campaigns, creative innovation, and a continued commitment to informing and transforming Uganda.
One of the defining highlights of T1 was our extensive coverage of Uganda’s 2026 General Elections. Across television, radio, and digital platforms, we delivered timely updates, live reporting, analysis, and nationwide coverage that kept millions of Ugandans informed both within the country and abroad. Through coordinated efforts across our brands and teams, we once again demonstrated the strength of our integrated newsroom and our ability to deliver at scale during critical national moments.
Alongside election coverage, the #IChoosePeaceUG campaign became a major pillar of engagement throughout the election period. The initiative encouraged peaceful participation, unity, and responsible citizenship, contributing to national conversations around peace and stability. The campaign resonated widely with audiences and reflected our commitment to using media platforms to inspire hope and positive action across communities.
T1 also reflected our continued investment in culture, people, and the creative economy.
During the month of March, we celebrated women through the She Ready campaign and event, creating space for meaningful conversations around growth, wellness, leadership, and everyday experiences affecting women. Across our different brands, women remained at the center of storytelling, engagement, and empowerment initiatives.
Sanyuka TV’s #OlutindoLwabakyala campaign brought together women from different regions of Uganda at the #NextMediaPark, offering opportunities to showcase businesses, share experiences, and engage with influential female voices. The initiative strengthened visibility for women entrepreneurs while creating impactful community conversations.
The creative industry also remained a priority through initiatives such as Creata Connect Women’s Edition by Next Creata, which focused on supporting and spotlighting women within Uganda’s growing creative space.
Another major milestone of the triannual was #TheNextBigVoice, a nationwide talent search by Next Radio aimed at identifying and developing the next generation of radio talent in Uganda. The campaign attracted hundreds of submissions from young people across the country, culminating in the crowning of Lukas Blacc as the winner and newest addition to the Next Media ecosystem.
Internally, Next Media Talks offered a moment for reflection, alignment, and celebration across teams. The session highlighted achievements from the first four months of the year while setting the tone for Triannual Two (T2). It also reinforced the importance of execution, adaptability, innovation, and teamwork as we continue to grow across media, streaming, and digital platforms.
Looking ahead, we are preparing to unveil a refined streaming-focused product aimed at advancing digital content experiences across Africa, marking another step in our continued investment in innovation and the future of storytelling.
Throughout T1, we remained guided by our core pillars: Love Uganda, Explore Uganda, Celebrate Uganda, and Inspire Hope. These principles continued to shape our campaigns, partnerships, storytelling, and audience engagement across all platforms.
As we move into Triannual Two, our focus remains clear: continue executing with purpose, building trust, supporting communities, and creating platforms that shape conversations, inspire audiences, and transform lives.
