As a partner who aims to inform and transform Uganda, NBS TV is always live. On the 20th October 2021, NBS Senior reporter and Live At9 news anchor Canary Mugume touched down in Bologna – Italy, to report live from the EIMA International Agricultural exposition.
The EIMA is an international expo of machinery for agriculture and gardening built by Italian Agricultural machinery manufacturers under their association, FederUnacoma, launched in 1969.
In 2020, agriculture contributed around 24.03 percent to the GDP of Uganda. As a country that heavily relies on agriculture, NBS TV understands the need to help Ugandans explore more ways to make it profitable, efficient, and environmentally friendly.
Through the EIMA, we encourage Uganda to participate in such resource acquisition as we look forward to mitigating the poor agricultural productivity brought about by the outdated technology.
Samson Kasumba and Isabella Tugume were able to have this discussion reach the Ugandans dealing in agriculture and those looking forward to investing in agriculture.
“What stood out for me was how much Agriculture has shifted from old traditional means of technology in line with the value chain. Not everyone has to be a farmer, so there are a lot of opportunities one can invest in”. Canary Mugume
