Thousands of fans turned up for the ‘Uncut at 3’ celebration on Easter Monday at the Uganda Museum grounds, as Sanyuka Television celebrated three years of the station’s premier entertainment news shows.
Uncut, airing on Sanyuka Television Monday to Friday at 10 PM, with a special ‘Uncut Sabula’ edition airing on Saturdays starting at 7:30 PM, is an entertainment news show with a major bias towards the Ugandan arts scene.
The ‘Uncut at 3’ gates opened at midday and saw families flock in in huge numbers. The family day out also saw kids access the grounds free of charge and partaking in activities such as bouncing castles, face painting, swimming, and camel riding.
Over 70 stage performances entertained revelers, with artistes such as Jackie Chandiru, Mesearch Ssemakula, Sheebah Karungi, Dr. Jose Chameleon, Vinka, Azawi, and Winnie Nwagi, among others, all gracing the stage. Comedians such as MC Mariachi, MC Kapale, Maulana and Reign also entertained the crowd and various Sanyuka Television hosts and DJs.
Next Media Services Deputy Group CEO and General Manager, Sanyuka Television, Joseph Kigozi, was also in attendance and said, “It’s with gratitude that I appreciate you all for coming. In such a busy season, the Sanyuka [Television] fans have chosen to attend the ‘Uncut at 3’ concert over all other celebrations and this concert has cemented Sanyuka TV as the biggest mass market TV station in Uganda. Therefore, we pledge to give you more of the best entertainment stories, news, and more so that we can maintain our annual celebration as a give back to you.”
‘Uncut at 3’ was organized by Bajjo Events in conjunction with Sanyuka Television and sponsored by Sozo Properties, Darling Uganda, Pepsi Uganda and Stanbic Bank Uganda.
