The Afrodisiac party is on this Friday, 3rd February, at Alliance Francaise De Kampala.
Afrodisiac, a monthly rave that serves as a regular pre- Nyege Nyege party, is created from an appreciation of evolving sounds. Every edition features celebrated DJs from around the continent with a lineup of local DJs. Karyendasoul, a multi-talented young Music Producer and DJ from South Africa, will headline this show featuring local DJs like Hola Jefe, Chedi, Mwami Kiyimba, and Chapat.
The music event, strictly House, EDM, Afro-House, and Amapiano, is sponsored by Next Radio, Uganda’s first audio-visual radio station, and will be streamed live on Afro Mobile on both app and web, Uganda’s king of local content.
Joseph Byaruhanga, Brand Manager Afro Mobile, says the brand is happy to showcase local talent to the world, “Afro Mobile is Uganda’s biggest content platform and moving across borders. We are happy to showcase our local talent that celebrates Afro-House music, culture, and love. We are streaming Afrodisaic internationally. For all the people in the diaspora, Afro Mobile is home.”
The event starts at 8:00 PM local time and will go on late into the night.
According to Next Radio’s Brand Manager, Nicholas Ngobi, Next Radio is proud to support another edition of the Afrodisiac music event.
“As the Big Hits station, we believe that music has the power to bring people together and create a sense of community; in this case, that is the house music community that continues to grow steadily in Uganda. By sponsoring this event, we are showcasing our love for soul music and our commitment to promoting good music regardless of the genre,” Ngobi said.
