This Week at the #NextMediaPark (Sunday, February 01 to Saturday, February 07, 2026)

This past week at the #NextMediaPark, our brands took stories to communities across the country and beyond.
From public dialogue to youth culture, sports, music, and national moments, Next Media stayed present where people live, work, and gather.

The week began on Sunday in Dubai, where NBS TV and Sanyuka TV followed the Union community for a major retreat.
The gathering brought together more than 1,200 stakeholders. Participants reflected on past achievements and set clear goals for 2026. The focus stayed on leadership, growth, and shared direction.

On Tuesday, NBS TV brought viewers into key regional discussions held at State House, Entebbe.
Leaders met to strengthen dialogue and cooperation around peace and stability in eastern DR Congo. The coverage helped audiences understand the issues shaping regional relations.

Wednesday carried a strong mix of conversation, culture, and music.
In the morning, NBS Sport hosted FUFA President Moses Magogo on #NBSportThisMorning. The discussion focused on the state of Ugandan football. Fans gained insight into performance, planning, and the road ahead.

Later that day, Sanyuka TV brought the Valentine spirit to life at Jovia City in Makindye.
The Ekilovelove Vybe Session featured live performances, strong energy, and a real audience connection. Music and shared moments defined the experience.

Still on Wednesday, Sanyuka TV and NBS Music covered the official press briefing ahead of Geosteady Live in Concert at Sheraton Kampala.
The briefing set the tone for a Valentine’s Day celebration built around music, love, and connection.

Wednesday also marked the conclusion of the 27th Annual Judges’ Conference in Munyonyo.
NBS TV covered the three-day meeting held under the theme of judicial wellness. Discussions closed with reflections on effective justice delivery and professional well-being.

On Thursday, NBS covered a press engagement involving the U.S. Embassy in Uganda and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Officials addressed U.S. travel and visa policies. The briefing provided clarity for Ugandans and travelers.

Friday was active across several communities.
In Lungujja, Peer Educators Academy, working with NBS Plus and Nextars, took to the streets to launch the Back to School season. Through skits and movement, young people shared messages on student wellbeing and focus.

In Matugga Market, Sanyuka TV brought Owakabi Wa Sanyuka directly to shoppers and vendors.
The activation blended entertainment with interaction, turning a regular market day into shared television moments.

Friday also saw the Rotary District Governor’s official visit at Kigo 7 Lakes Golf.
Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Friends of Rotary gathered for fellowship and engagement. Through AfroMobile, Next Media, led by President Kin Kariisa, received appreciation for supporting Rotary’s growth and public image.

In Wandegeya, Salam TV covered the Omumanyi wa Salam TV National Competition at Masjid Kasule.
With Hajati Minsa Kabanda as the Guest of Honour, the event highlighted Islamic knowledge and cultural excellence.

The day closed in Kabale with the 45th Tarehe Sita anniversary.
NBS TV covered the commemorations held at Kabale National Teachers College. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, First Lady Janet Museveni, and Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba attended as delegates reflected on a historic NRA victory.

The week wrapped up on Saturday with sport and fan connection.
In Mbale, NBS Sport covered a lively Guinness watch party at Hamsam Arena. Fans gathered for match screenings, refreshments, and shared excitement across eastern Uganda.

Later in Kampala, NBSport Rugby brought fans the Rugby Premiership season opener at Kings Park Arena.
Defending champions Pirates Rugby faced Kobs Rugby as the 2026 season got underway.
