Next Radio set to sponsor Uganda’s first Reggae Concert after the lockdown

Since the Ugandan economy reopened in January 2022, Next Radio has been on a roll sponsoring events back to back, with the latest being the Reggae concert dubbed ‘Turbulence Live in Uganda’. This will be the first major international showdown and the first reggae Jamaican Uganda connect in over three years.

The concert celebrates Reggae legends in Jamaican and Uganda, and the Jamaican Reggae Legend, Turbulence, will headline it. Some of his current hits include; Defenders featuring Anthony B and Celebration of Life, an inspirational song for surviving the Pandemic. The biggest attraction and exciting fact about this concert is that Turbulence has never been to Uganda and is very enthusiastic about sharing his passion, contacts, and industry experience with our country.

Next Radio is already home to one of the biggest reggae shows in the land, ReggalizeIt, that only appreciates Reggae music.

“The one thing that stands out about reggae music is THE VIBE, and that’s what we’re all about. We are home to the biggest reggae show in the land hosted by Blaze, and we have a great love for the reggae community. This is a chance to show Uganda how inclusive we are in music genres, so fans should expect nothing but the best from Blaze, Ao the Walker and Geeman on the day. It will be a vibe!” Next Radio Brand Manager, Nicholas Ngobi.

Next Radio has so far sponsored Ruger Live in Uganda, South African Amapiano Twin DJs TxC, Brunch in House with Sun L and Vibes Nzuri, among others.
