Next Media was awarded ‘Media Partner of the Year’ at the Renewable Energy Conference that the National Renewable Energy Platform organized under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development.
The Renewable Energy Conference, part of the Energy and Minerals Week activities, officially closed with an awarding ceremony of, among others, the best innovators, exhibitors, media partners, and financial institutions.
The three-day conference organized at Speke Resort Munyonyo under the theme; “Renewable Energy for Sustainable Industrialization, Inclusive Growth and Economic Recovery” included dialogues on policies, regulation, standards and partnerships, Integrated Energy Planning, Frontier Markets, and Consolidated infrastructure, among others. It also included the exhibition of different technologies to the general public.
Desire Derekford Mugumisa, the Next Media Head of Corporate Affairs, said of the award, “For us, amplifying and telling stories around how Ugandans can maximumly benefit from the opportunities available to them in our motherland is a key deliverable, and partnerships such as this are a win-win for us – We Inform to Transform, and we are very honoured to see these efforts recognized.”
